A Digital term deposit in EUR can be opened by clients with a current account at Tatra banka.

To set it up, all you need is the Tatra banka mobile application or active Internet banking^TB.

The amount of the minimum and maximum deposit is not set.

Procedure for establishing the Digital term deposit

You can set up the Digital term deposit in 3 steps:

1. Log in to the Tatra banka mobile application or Internet banking^TB

2. In the Time deposits tab, click "+"

3. Choose the term deposit parameters and confirm - we will transfer the funds for you automatically

Interest

The amount of interest depends on the amount of your deposit and the length of the commitment

Each deposit to the account bears interest separately, at the interest rate valid on the day of the deposit, determined in terms of the terms of the contract, while this rate does not change during the duration of the contract.
The rate for each deposit depends on its amount and the time remaining until the maturity of the basic deposit.

Interest on due date

We will transfer the interest to your account or add it to the deposit.
For 24- and 36-month deposits, we will add interest to the deposit once a year.

In what currencies and for what commitments do you provide term deposits?

The currency in which we will keep your Digital term deposit: EUR.
Currency in which we will keep your Term deposit: USD, CHF, GBP or CZK.
Period for which we will guarantee your rate: 1, 3, 6, 12, 24 or 36 months.

How is interest paid and the deposit terminated?

You can choose from the following methods of interest payment: cashless to a current account in Tatra Bank or by crediting your term deposit.

At the end of the deposit, you can choose a one-time transfer to a current account in Tatra Bank or automatic renewal of the deposit when it is due.

What does an interest rate guarantee mean?

It starts on the day you deposit money for a term deposit and ends on the day you agreed with the bank. During this period, you can always add more money to the term deposit without its maturity being extended.

What is the difference between the Digital term deposit and the Term deposit?

Digital term deposit is a term deposit in EUR and is intended for clients who have a current account in Tatra banka. You can set it up via the Tatra banka mobile application or Internet banking^TB.
Term deposits can be made in USD, CHF, GBP or CZK. You can open it at any Tatra banka branch.

How can I get money from a term deposit?

Digital term deposit - you can make an early withdrawal or cancellation in the Tatra banka application or Internet banking^TB.
- Early withdrawal - we will transfer the entire balance to your account in Tatra banka, you can revive this deposit at any time by transferring it from your current account.
- Cancellation - you will no longer be able to activate the selected deposit in the future.
Term deposit - a personal visit to a Tatra banka branch is required.

How do I open a term deposit in a foreign currency?

You can open a term deposit in USD, CHF, GBP or CZK in person at any Tatra banka branch.
